    Update: February 10, 2023 - We are very excited to welcome the Rotman School of Business (U of T) into the Northern Trade Accelerator Program (TAP). The students will be available to contribute about 80 hours per company and up to 2 students will be available (potential of 160 hours of assistance per TAP-participant company). All students will sign an NDA.

    TAP is an award-winning, innovative initiative that assists small and medium-sized businesses, such as yours, in accelerating the strategic development of their businesses. The program helps Canadian entrepreneurs find new customers, generate new revenue streams, navigate disrupted value chains safely and improve efficiency so they can expand their business successfully.
     
    This multi-sector TAP cohort will be delivered virtually over 6 weeks, concluding with a mentoring session, in collaboration with the Sault Ste. Marie Chamber of Commerce, the Timmins Chamber of Commerce, the North Bay & District Chamber of Commerce, the Thunder Bay Chamber of Commerce, and the Greater Sudbury Chamber of Commerce.

    plans will receive a written
    assessment from our team of
    experts.
     
    Focus on mentoring,
    constructive feedback and

    relationships. After reviewing
    the export plan, receive
    individual mentoring sessions
    from our expert partners where
    potential solutions and ways
    forward are explored.

    HOW TO PARTICIPATE
     
    Companies can participate in TAP via partner nomination or direct application.
     
    All applications are reviewed by the TAP team to ensure the program is a good fit and allow
    participants to maximize its benefits.

     
    Thanks to our generous partners, members can now enroll in the program for $995 plus HST and
    non members can participate for $1495 plus HST, instead of the original cost of $5,000 per
    company.

    Eligibility

    • You are exporting a product, service or technology, but wish to diversify your market or have taken exploratory steps to develop your business abroad
    • You generate more than $500,000 in annual revenue
    • You have been operating for at least 2 years
    • You have a strong value proposition
    • You are willing to dedicate 2 senior representatives to participate in all stages of the program
     
    *Exceptions to the above-mentioned criteria are made for companies in growth industries such as technology and healthcare. Applications are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
