Bridge Bicycle Parade and Bridge Walk Safety and Security
Adults must have one of the following documents to enter the United States: U.S. or Canadian passport; Trusted Traveler Card (NEXUS, SENTRI, or FAST); U.S. Passport Card; State- or province-issued Enhanced Driver’s Licenses, INAC or Form I-872 American Indian Card. Children and youths (15 and under) must be accompanied by authorized adult and must have a copy of their birth certificate. Please bring a minimum amount of carry along items. No animals allowed with the sole exception of seeing-eye dogs. For safety reasons, no rollerblades, rollerskates, skateboards, etc. are allowed.

Buses to Norris Center, 7:00am – 8:15am
Buses will run continuously to transport Canadian walkers from the west parking lot of OLG Casino Sault Ste. Mare on the Ontario side to the Norris Center in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. Cost $2 per person; $10 per family. Please note this year’s walk start time is 10:00 a.m.

Please note: Bridge 50TH Anniversary Bicycle Parade has been added this year
To commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the International Bridge, this year a bicycle parade across the bridge and back will precede the bridge walk. The bike parade starts at 9:00 a.m. sharp. Canadian participants are encouraged to either ride or transport bikes across before 8:15 a.m. The parade route begins and ends at the Norris Center. Bicyclists will ride across the bridge and turn around before going through Canada Customs and return to the Norris Center. Bicyclists must be able to complete the five mile parade route in less than one hour. There will be judging and prizes for the top three entries for the best decorated cycle that follows the “International Friendship” theme. No training wheels and no power assisted bicycles allowed. Pedal driven bicycles, adult tricycles, and quad cycles are allowed. This is a joint event sponsored by the Sault Cycling Club and Soo Bicycle Club. Walk begins at 10:00am sharp, weather permitting
For safety reasons, walkers who arrive after the walk begins will not be allowed to participate. Walkers depart from the Norris Center in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan at 10:00 a.m. and walk approximately 3 miles North, finishing at the west parking lot of OLG Casino in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. Buses will then transport walkers back to the U.S. continually until 12:00 p.m. Cost $2 per person; $10 family.
