Starts: 2011-09-27 Ends: 2011-09-27
"Smart Meters / Time-of-Use Electricity Rates & Conservation Programs"
Presented by Randy Johnson & Brooke Suurna from PUC Services Inc.
Introducing a new way to manage your electricity costs and be part of the province’s conservation plan - Smart Meters & Time-of-Use Electricity Rates. Smart meters and Time-of-Use Rates are new energy management tools that will enable you to help smooth “peak demand”.
Peak Demand periods occur when we use a lot of electricity at the same time and supplying electricity at those peak times has ranges of impacts – impacts that will be discussed along with some simple changes that you can make to bring real benefits.
There are also many energy efficiency incentives that are available to commercial customers in Sault Ste. Marie. A brief description of each program will be provided along with some information on how commercial customers can register for and take advantage of the save-on-energy program to help reduce their energy bills.
